I paint your energy.

I constantly draw inspiration from humans’ universal capacity for creativity. I am passionate about elevating others and celebrating their stories and energies in my work. Through energetic and immediate artworks I offer the audience an insight into my subject’s energy.

I have always been fascinated by people. They give me energy, stories and insights that make me feel excited to be alive. My artwork has always been centered around ‘the other’, initially starting with portraiture, to the human form and now specifically movements within dance. I find continual inspiration in the human form. For me, it is a reservoir of limitless expression. I admire dancers’ unique confidence to express themselves solely with their body. It’s inspiring beyond words.

My practice is led by my desire to escape the overthinking, detail and control of my daily life. My brain moves fast and spontaneously - and in painting and drawing I find a place where I can truly allow my brain to flow in its natural way. Working in ink with quick and loose marks allows me to open up, surrender control and feel liberated.
